Description
Critics and audiences found much to love in this offbeat, endearing independent hit by first-time screenwriter Cody Diablo, who won an Oscar® for her witty script. Directed by Jason Reitman (Thank You for Smoking), the film truly comes alive via the vibrant performances of its pitch-perfect cast, particularly that of Ellen Page (X-Men: The Last Stand and Hard Candy), who received a richly deserved Best Actress Oscar® nomination for her enchanting performance in the title role.

Meet Juno MacGuff, a precociously witty teenager whose boredom takes her not to the mall, but into the arms of her best friend Paulie Bleeker (winningly played by Superbad's Michael Cera) for a one-time encounter. When Juno discovers that she’s pregnant, she sets out to find the perfect adoptive parents. And it looks like she may have found them in Mark and Vanessa Loring (Jason Bateman and Jennifer Garner at their best), a well-to-do young couple, who seem eager for parenthood. But is life ever really that simple?

The first rate cast also includes J.K. Simmons as Juno’s mellow dad, Allison Janney as her acerbic step-mom and Olivia Thirlby as Juno's friend Leah. A box-office smash that gives new meaning to the term "labor of love," Juno also includes a hit soundtrack featuring songs from Kimya Dawson, which perfectly capture the tone of this sweet, smart and funny film.
