Description
Get out the handkerchiefs for this sweet, romantic comedy. Two-time Oscar® winner Hillary Swank stars as Holly Kennedy, a newly-widowed young woman who is struggling to recover from her husband's death from cancer. Salvation comes via a collection of 10 letters left to her by Gerry, her late-Irish soul-mate (Gerard Butler), before his passing. In each one, he guides her through the grieving period, her new love life, you name it... he covers it all. And their love remains. Holly also gets good support from best friends Denise (Lisa Kudrow) and Sharon (Gina Gershon), as well as some consolation from her mother (Kathy Bates) and sister, Rose (Nellie Mckay), but it's Gerry who helps pick up the pieces... and tug at the audience's heartstrings.
