Description
Bond is back! And it's a return to exotic locales, breath-taking car chases, action, intrigue, fanciful gadgets and, of course, beautiful women. But above all, it's Daniel Craig who steps back into the role of 007, almost making us forget there was ever another actor before him. This electrifying follow-up to the critically acclaimed Casino Royale opens with two gripping, back-to-back chases, as James Bond tries to heed the orders of M (Judi Dench) and, at the same time, track down the people who blackmailed his love, Vesper. Still struggling with Vesper's death, a reckless Bond discovers a massive, secret organization called Quantum. Suspicious that Quantum may be connected to Vesper's death, 007 follows a trail of clues to Haiti, where he meets the mysterious Camille (Olga Kurylenko), a woman whose motives appear to be a smokescreen for something else. Bond's lingering doubt increases when he is introduced to Dominic Greene (Mathieu Almalric), a cold-blooded businessman with apparent ties to Quantum. With sights set on seizing control of a valuable piece of land in Latin America, a part of a massive plan to overthrow the government, Greene coaxes an inner violence out of Bond. From this point forward, Bond, against M's wishes, races from the rooftops of Italy, to a grand showdown at an Austrian opera house, all in an effort to thwart this most sinister of schemes. Proving an unforgettable chapter in the Bond canon, one question remains... when's the next one?
