Description
The "Jigsaw Killer" saga takes more terrifying twists and turns in this fifth installment, as Detective Hoffman (Costas Mandylor of Picket Fences) emerges as one of the few surviving connections to the original maniac (Tobin Bell) who placed innocent people in devious traps in which they were forced to kill one another. But things are more complicated than they seem. When the horribly mutilated body of a brutal murderer is discovered, and five innocent people find themselves cunningly caught in a booby-trapped sewer, there's more than enough suspicion and fear to go around. Co-stars Julie Benz (Dexter and Buffy, The Vampire Slayer) and Meagan Good join the series, while Betsy Russell returns as Jigsaw's ex-wife, Jill, and Scott Patterson reprises his role as Agent Strahm. The "Saw" films have a well-earned reputation for extreme bloodshed and deliciously complex plots, and this fright-filled fifth entry is no exception.
